The HES 9600 Series is a windstorm resistant, surface mounted electric strike for rim exit devices with up to a 3/4" Pullman latch. Every component is encased in a 3/4" thick stainless steel housing that mounts on the face of the frame - no cutting required: place the strike on the frame surface, align it with the exit latchbolt, and install. The base is separate from the decorative cover, making adjustments easy.
Built to exceed the severe forces of ANSI windstorm testing (ANSI/SDI 250.13, ASTM E330, Florida Building Code approval FL# 14307), the 9600 delivers 2,000 lbs of static strength and 120 ft-lbs of dynamic impact resistance - well beyond Grade 1 requirements - with endurance tested to 1,000,000 cycles and an outdoor rating (UL 1034) for exterior openings. Note: the 9600 is not fire rated; for fire-rated openings use the HES 9500.
Operation is field selectable between fail-secure and fail-safe and between 12 or 24 VDC (500 mA / 250 mA, continuous duty), with built-in horizontal adjustability and a non-handed design for metal or wood frames (wood screws not included). Optional LBM latchbolt monitor or LBSM latchbolt strike monitor reports door status (for example 9600-630-LBM), in eight architectural finishes, backed by the SecuriCare 5 year no-fault warranty - 10 years with the SMART Pac III.
