The HES 9700 Series is a heavy-duty, surface mounted electric strike purpose-built for Corbin Russwin SecureBolt and ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA SquareBolt exit devices (ACCENTRA formerly Yale Commercial). Every component is encased in a 3/4" thick stainless steel housing that mounts on the face of the frame - no cutting required - with a separate base and decorative cover that make alignment adjustments easy.
The strongest strike in the HES surface-mount family, the 9700 delivers 2,000 lbs of static strength and 120 ft-lbs of dynamic impact resistance, endurance tested to 1,000,000 cycles. It is built to exceed the severe forces of ANSI windstorm testing (ANSI/SDI 250.13, ASTM E330, Florida Building Code approval FL# 19224), is UL 10C fire rated for fail-secure openings, complies with NFPA 80-07 guidelines for retrofit into fire-rated frames, and is rated for outdoor use (UL 1034).
Operation is field selectable between fail-secure and fail-safe and between 12 or 24 VDC (500 mA / 250 mA, continuous duty), with built-in horizontal adjustability and a non-handed design for metal or wood frames. Optional LBM latchbolt monitor or LBSM latchbolt strike monitor reports door status (for example 9700-630-LBM), and every 9700 carries the SecuriCare 5 year no-fault warranty, extended to 10 years with the SMART Pac III.
