Overview

The HES 2006M is a plug-in electric strike buzzer. It produces a loud audible alert when an access-controlled door is unlocked. At 24 VDC, the 2006M emits a loud 75 dB buzz (at a distance of 11-3/4") which is loud enough that the unlock is noticed whenever possible, even in noisy environments. The audible operation indicator is crafted specifically for HES electric strikes and supplies immediate sound feedback whenever the electric strike is energized, increasing awareness of security status. The 2006M has a simple plug-in installation and is the best option to supplement and enhance access control systems, without complicated wiring or retrofitting.

Technical Details

The 2006M consists of a compact buzzer module that plugs directly into the electric strike’s wiring harness for power. It draws power at 24 VDC and produces a sharp 75 dB tone (measured at 11-3/4") whenever the strike is activated. The buzzer is built with high-quality wiring and components, and offers reliable performance under continuous use. The unit is compatible with a wide range of HES strikes, including the 4500C, 5000, 5200, 7000, 7501, 8000, 8300, 8500, 9400, 9500, 9600, 9700, and 9800 series, as well as Folger Adam 310 and 700 series models. The buzzer uses the same quick-connect pigtail harness included with the strike, so no special tools or external sounders are required. Its ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 design and RoHS-compliant materials ensure it meets industry standards for durability and safety.
