The HES 9400 Series is a slim-line, surface mounted electric strike for rim exit devices with up to a 1/2" Pullman latch. Every component is encased in a 5/8" thick stainless steel housing that mounts on the face of the frame - no cutting required: place the strike on the frame surface, align it with the exit latchbolt, and install. A smooth decorative cover conceals the mounting screws for a clean, tamper-resistant finish.
The 9400 exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1 standards with 1,500 lbs of static strength, 70 ft-lbs of dynamic impact resistance, and 1,000,000 tested cycles, and is rated for outdoor use (UL 1034). Built-in horizontal adjustability plus an included 1/8" spacer plate handle varying door gaps and alignment, and the non-handed body installs on metal or wood frames (wood screws not included).
Operation is field selectable between fail-secure and fail-safe and between 12 or 24 VDC (500 mA / 250 mA, continuous duty). Optional LBM latchbolt monitor or LBSM latchbolt strike monitor reports door status to access control, eight architectural finishes match surrounding hardware (for example 9400-630-LBM), and every 9400 carries the SecuriCare 5 year no-fault warranty, extended to 10 years with the SMART Pac III.
