Visonic Detectors, PowerG Wireless and PowerMaster Systems
Visonic builds motion detection and wireless intrusion equipment, and the catalog splits cleanly in two: hardwired PIR and dual technology detectors that report to any panel, and the PowerG two-way wireless range that works with PowerMaster systems. Miniature and Concealed PIR Detectors
The SPY range is built around detectors small enough to disappear into the building. They are flush-mounted in a wall or installed from behind it, and the only visible part after installation is the lens. Coverage is selected by model, from a single double beam down a corridor to three or six double beams across a room.
Miniature PIR detectors are the volume sellers here, with the CLIP-1 micro-PIR covering rooms up to 30 by 45 feet in a housing that is virtually unnoticeable once mounted, and the SRN-2000 taking 45 interchangeable lenses from the Super-Red lens library so one detector body covers many jobs.
Ceiling Mount and Dual Technology
Ceiling detectors cover a room from above with 360 degree detection. The DISC is a PIR at 3-3/8 inches across, and the DUO-240 packs a PIR and a microwave sensor into the same small housing so that both have to agree before an alarm is raised.
That same pairing runs through the wall mount range in dual technology detectors, in anti-masking versions for sites where the detector itself may be attacked, and in pet tolerant versions that distinguish a person from a dog or cat moving through the same space.
Industrial and Outdoor Detection
Industrial detectors are specified for large sites and harsh conditions. Grade 3 mirror detectors reach 82 by 100 feet with anti-masking, which exposes any effort to block or defeat the detector and alerts when the field of view is obstructed, and the detector self-tests on a schedule.
Outdoor motion detectors handle rain, direct sunlight, animals and changing light levels, and one model integrates a camera that starts recording the moment an alarm is activated.
Access Control and Door Motion
Access control motion detectors sit over a door rather than in a security zone. A relay output triggers an automatic door opener or a request to exit input, with activation time adjustable between 1 and 60 seconds.
Standalone access control keypads are listed on the main catalog rather than in a category of their own, including a self-contained microprocessor controlled indoor keypad that limits access to restricted areas and a weather-resistant version for outdoor use. Proximity tags, surface mount readers and two door controllers are listed alongside them.
PowerG Wireless Devices
PowerG devices are the two-way wireless side of the range and pair with PowerMaster panels. Door and window contacts, shock detectors, glass break, indoor and outdoor motion, smoke, heat, carbon monoxide, flood and temperature detectors, sirens, touchscreen keypads, panic buttons and repeaters all run on the same encrypted link.
The older PowerCode range is listed too, covering handheld transmitters, keyfobs, door and window contacts, glass break detectors and repeaters for systems already installed on that platform, along with speech processor modules and expansion boards.
