Visonic Pet Tolerant Detectors

A pet in the house is the most common reason an alarm system gets left unarmed. These detectors are built to let the animal move freely while still catching a person, so the system can be armed at night and while the house is empty.

The digital PIR version uses a patented Target Specific Imaging optical system and a pet identification software algorithm to distinguish human bodies from pets, and the specification states the weight it tolerates. The dual technology version adds an active microwave sensor to the pet tolerant PIR in a single unit, which is what to use in areas where pets, cats or rats are present and false alarm immunity matters most.

Wireless pet tolerant models on the PowerG platform are in pet tolerant PIR, and standard dual technology is in dual technology detectors.
