Visonic Dual Technology Detectors

Dual technology is what you specify when a room defeats a plain PIR. A passive infrared sensor and a complementary active microwave sensor are combined in a single unit, and the detector reports only when both agree, which gives it the capacity to distinguish the motion of a human body from any other disturbance.

That matters in rooms with heating vents, sunlight through glass, moving stock or machinery, all of which look like a target to infrared alone. The models here are aimed at residential and light commercial environments rather than industrial sites.

For ceiling positions use the ceiling dual technology detector, for sites where the detector itself may be attacked use anti-masking models, and where animals are present use pet tolerant models.
