Conventional Smoke Detectors

The i3 series is System Sensor's conventional photoelectric smoke detector platform, and its part numbers describe the device: 2W or 4W for 2-wire and 4-wire circuits, T for a 135 F fixed thermal sensor, A for a built-in sounder, R for a Form C relay, and I for an isolated thermal sensor, so a 4WTAR-B is a 4-wire photoelectric detector with thermal sensor, sounder, and relay. The 2W-B and 4W-B are the plain photoelectric models, and the 2WT-B, 2WTA-B, 2WTR-B, 4WT-B, 4WTA-B, 4WTR-B, and 4WITAR-B fill out the combinations.

Every i3 detector plugs into an installer-friendly base with a Stop-Drop-N-Lock action, mounts to a wide range of back boxes, and uses drift compensation and smoothing algorithms to reduce nuisance alarms from dust and RF interference. Two-wire models connected to a MOD2W module or an i3-ready panel send a remote maintenance signal when they need cleaning, the EZ Walk feature verifies loop wiring, and the SENSRDR reader displays sensitivity for inspection records. Listed to UL 268 for commercial fire alarm systems.
