Detector Bases

Plug-in bases carry the wiring for 100 Series and 400 Series detector heads such as the 2151 and 2151T photoelectric and 5151 heat detectors, so the head can be removed for cleaning or replacement without disturbing the circuit. The B110LP is the standard 2-wire base, the B112LP its 4-wire counterpart, and the B401 an alternate 2-wire base. The B110RLP adds a 470 ohm current-limiting resistor for panels that need alarm current held within a set range, and the B116LP provides a Form C relay contact for local control functions on a 2-wire system.

Bases mount to common back box patterns, include screw terminals for power, ground, and remote annunciator connections, and have a built-in shorting spring that lets installers confirm loop wiring before heads are installed. Choose the base to match the panel's circuit type first, then the head.
