Spot Detector Installation Accessories

Three accessories handle the retrofit and reach problems that come up on conventional spot detector jobs. The A77-AB2 adapter bracket, 6.6 inches across, lets an i3 detector replace an older, larger-diameter detector and hide the old footprint without patching the ceiling. The SMB600 flanged surface mounting kit gives 400 Series and 500 Series detectors a clean surface mount where flush or recessed installation is not possible, and ships with the screws and anchors to do it.

The XR2 installation and removal tool lets a technician install, remove, and replace detector heads on high ceilings from the floor using an extension pole, which turns inspection and cleaning of a lobby or warehouse ceiling into a one-person job without a lift.
