Heat Detectors
Conventional Heat Detectors
Heat detectors protect areas where smoke detection would cause nuisance alarms or is not required by code: kitchens, garages, attics, mechanical rooms, and property-protection applications. The System Sensor 5600 series mechanical heat detectors come in fixed-temperature and combination fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise models at 135 F and 194 F, in single-circuit (5601P, 5602, 5603) and dual-circuit (5621, 5622, 5623, 5624) versions, with a restorable rate-of-rise element for field testing and a reversible mounting bracket that fits single-gang, octagonal, and four-square back boxes.
The 5151 is a plug-in electronic heat detector for the 400 Series base platform with 135 F fixed and 15 F per minute rate-of-rise sensing, a latching alarm reset by power interruption, a built-in test switch, and two LEDs visible through 360 degrees. The 2151T, a low-profile photoelectric smoke detector with an integral thermal sensor, is listed here for installers who want combined sensing on the same base family. Heat detectors are listed to UL 521.
Bases for the plug-in models are under bases, and i3 photoelectric detectors under smoke detectors. Browse the full System Sensor catalog, or contact our team for help choosing fixed versus rate-of-rise for a space.
