The HES 5200 Series is a Grade 1 electric strike for cylindrical locksets with an in-frame horizontal adjustment design: the strike opening adjusts to the latchbolt position after the strike is installed, cutting alignment time on new installs and retrofits. It accommodates 5/8" to 3/4" throw latchbolts (3/4" with a 1/8" door gap) and fits standard ANSI 4-7/8" preps in metal or wood frames with a compact 1-3/16" (30.2 mm) body depth.
Rated for 1,500 lbs of static strength and 70 ft-lbs of dynamic impact, and endurance tested to 1,000,000 cycles, the tamper-resistant, non-handed strike is field selectable between fail-secure and fail-safe. It runs on dual voltage 12/24 VDC/VAC (DC continuous duty, AC intermittent duty) with a PoE-friendly low current draw, and installs with an internally mounted solenoid, plug-in connector, and included trim enhancer.
Order the strike body alone with a faceplate kit, or the 5200C Complete Pac bundling the 501 and 501A faceplates in one box (630 finish only). Optional LBM latchbolt monitor or LBSM latchbolt strike monitor reports door status to access control systems, and every 5200 carries the SecuriCare 5 year no-fault warranty, extended to 10 years with the SMART Pac III power controller.

- What does the horizontal adjustment do?
- The strike opening adjusts horizontally within the frame after installation, so the keeper aligns to the actual latchbolt position without repositioning the strike.
- What locks does the 5200 work with?
- Cylindrical locksets with 5/8" to 3/4" throw latchbolts; a 3/4" throw requires a 1/8" door gap.
- Is it fire rated?
- No - the 5200 carries no UL 10C rating. For fire-rated openings in the same footprint, use the HES 5300.
