Overview
The HES 1500 Series Electric Strike is a new heavy-duty, modular solution specifically designed to fit every major brand of cylindrical or mortise latchbolt lock without a deadbolt. This Grade 1 strike offers dynamic adjustability with field-configurable options, allowing it to works seamlessly with standard 4-7/8″ strike preps. Its fully finished, low-profile design is available in eight finishes to match adjacent door hardware, creating a finished and professional installation.
Designed to accommodate 1,500 lbs of static force and 70 ft-lbs of dynamic impact, the HES 1500 provides reliable holding strength for high security applications. The HES 1500 is made with precision stainless steel and a tamper resistant design that translates into durability and long life, backed by 1,000,000 cycles of endurance testing. The strike is field selectable for fail-safe or fail-secure operation, which makes it easy to implement safety requirements, limiting the need for additional parts.
Installation
Installation is simplified by an integrated adjustable shim and interchangeable faceplate system. The modular faceplates (sold separately or included in complete kits) let this strike accommodate various latch shapes and sizes, making stocking and on-site setup more efficient. Optional plug-in monitoring modules (for latch and/or strike status) can be added at any time, enabling remote door monitoring in access control systems.
All HES 1500 series strikes come with a 5 year no-fault warranty. Each strike is fully tested for outdoor use, fire-rated for up to 3 hours (fail-secure), and meets rigorous environmental and safety standards worldwide. A model 1500C Complete Pac is available for single box convenience, shipping with a common latchbolt faceplate included for a quick installation.
