The HES 1500 Series is a heavy-duty, modular Grade 1 electric strike built to fit all major brands of cylindrical and mortise latchbolt locks with latchbolts up to 3/4" (not for standalone deadbolts). It drops into a standard 4-7/8" x 1-1/4" ANSI strike prep in metal or wood frames with no additional cutting, and the non-handed, low-profile body suits right- or left-handed doors.
Rated for 1,500 lbs of static holding force and 70 ft-lbs of dynamic impact, and endurance tested beyond 1,000,000 cycles, the stainless steel, tamper-resistant strike is field selectable for fail-safe or fail-secure operation and runs on dual voltage 12/24 VAC/VDC through auto-sensing plug-in connectors.
An integrated adjustable shim and interchangeable faceplate system simplify installation, and plug-in monitoring modules for latchbolt and strike status can be added at any time. The strike is outdoor rated, fire rated for up to 3 hours in fail-secure mode, and backed by a 5 year no-fault warranty. A 1500C Complete Pac version ships with a common latchbolt faceplate included, and seven architectural finishes match adjacent door hardware.

- No - it fits cylindrical and mortise locksets with latchbolts up to 3/4". For locks with a deadbolt, the companion HES 1600 has a deeper 1-5/8" body that accommodates a 1" deadbolt.
