The HES 5300 Series is a Grade 1, fire-rated, low-profile electric strike for cylindrical locksets, built for openings with limited space behind the jamb. The slim 1-1/16" (27.3 mm) body accommodates 1/2" to 5/8" throw latchbolts (5/8" with a 1/8" door gap), and its keeper pin locking design enables the strike to exceed the ratings of the surrounding frame, door, and locking hardware.
Rated for 1,500 lbs of static strength and 70 ft-lbs of dynamic impact, and endurance tested to 1,000,000 cycles, the tamper-resistant, non-handed strike is UL 10C fire rated for up to 3 hours on fire door assemblies in fail-secure mode - selecting fail-safe negates the fire rating. It installs in metal or wood frames with an internally mounted solenoid, plug-in connector, and included trim enhancer, running on dual voltage 12/24 VDC/VAC (DC continuous duty, AC intermittent duty).
The 5300 shares its footprint and faceplate system with the 5000 and 5200 Series, so existing installations upgrade to a fire-rated strike by swapping the body alone. Order the body with a faceplate kit, or the 5300C Complete Pac bundling the 501 and 501A faceplates (630 finish only), with an optional LBM latchbolt monitor for door status feedback. Every 5300 carries the SecuriCare 5 year no-fault warranty, extended to 10 years with the SMART Pac III power controller.
