The HES 8300 Series is the fire-rated, concealed, no-cut electric strike for cylindrical locksets. It complies with NFPA 80-07 guidelines for retrofit into fire-rated frames: no cutting on the frame for a standard 4-7/8" ANSI prep - remove the existing strike plate, set the vertical alignment feature to the latchbolt centerline, and install, with the fire door integrity preserved.
Rated ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1 with 1,500 lbs static strength, 70 ft-lbs dynamic impact, and 1,000,000 tested cycles, its keeper pin locking design exceeds the ratings of the frame, door, and locking hardware. The tamper-resistant, non-handed strike accommodates 1/2" to 5/8" cylindrical latchbolts (5/8" with a 1/8" door gap), with vertical adjustability for door sag and misalignment in a slim 1-1/16" deep body for metal, wood, or aluminum frames.
It is UL 10C fire rated for up to 3 hours in fail-secure mode - selecting fail-safe negates the fire rating - and runs on dual voltage 12/24 VDC/VAC (240 mA / 120 mA; DC continuous duty, AC intermittent) with a PoE-friendly draw and plug-in connector. Order the strike body with a faceplate kit or the 8300C Complete Pac with the 801 and 801A faceplates (630 finish only), plus an optional LBM latchbolt monitor. Outdoor rated, windstorm certified, and backed by the SecuriCare 5 year no-fault warranty - 10 years with the SMART Pac III.
