Emergency Exit Buttons

On an access-controlled door locked by a Magnalock, codes generally require a manual release beside the door that works independently of the access control system and keeps the door unlocked for at least 30 seconds after it is pressed. An emergency exit button is purpose-built for that job: the timer is inside the button, so a single press releases the lock for the full interval without depending on a panel, software, or a separate timer module.

The EEB2 is a 2 inch square button on a stainless steel single-gang faceplate with a built-in 30 second release timer. It uses internal double-break wiring, so the button interrupts lock power directly, and it is field selectable for 12 or 24 VDC to match the lock it controls. The PB2-LK kit adds illumination. The EEB3N brings the same integrated 30 second timer to a narrow stile plate for aluminum storefront frames, with interchangeable green and red lenses. Both can also serve as a backup release beside an exit motion sensor. Mount the button where codes and the authority having jurisdiction expect it, near the door and at an accessible height, with the required signage.
