Surface-Mounted Magnalocks

Surface Magnalocks are the workhorse of electromagnetic locking: the magnet mounts to the frame header on the secure side, the armature plate mounts to the door, and the result is a lock that installs quickly, has no moving parts to wear, and releases the instant power is removed. Weatherproof construction and a dual-voltage 12 or 24 VDC supply let one model serve interior, perimeter, and exterior doors.

Choose the holding force first. The M32 delivers 600 pounds for interior rooms and traffic control, the M62 delivers 1,200 pounds in a compact body that fits 2-1/2 inches of flat space with a low current draw, and the M82 series delivers 1,800 pounds for high-security openings. Then read the suffix letters for features. F adds a face-drilled housing for through-the-face mounting, B adds the BondSTAT magnetic bond sensor that confirms the armature is fully engaged rather than only that power is on, D adds a built-in door position switch, and G adds gate conduit fittings. That is how the M62FGBD becomes a face-drilled, 1,200 pound gate Magnalock with bond sensing and door position monitoring, and the M32FB a face-drilled 600 pound lock with a bond sensor. Double-door versions secure pairs from a single housing.
