The HES 7501 Series is the Grade 1, fire-rated preload solution among electric strikes: built for fire-rated openings where a warped or misaligned door, weather stripping, or a smoke seal puts pressure on the latch and binds standard strikes. Its heavy-duty stainless steel construction accommodates cylindrical locksets with fire-rated latchbolts up to 3/4" throw, and the cylindrical faceplate ships with the strike.
Rated for 1,500 lbs of static strength and 70 ft-lbs of dynamic impact and endurance tested to 500,000 cycles, the tamper-resistant, non-handed strike is field selectable between fail-secure and fail-safe - preload accommodation works in fail-secure mode. It runs on dual voltage 12/24 VDC/VAC (450 mA / 250 mA at VDC, continuous duty) with an internally mounted solenoid, plug-in connector, keeper shims for horizontal adjustment, and an included trim enhancer, all in a 1-11/16" body depth for standard ANSI preps.
The 7501 is UL 10C fire rated for up to 3 hours in fail-secure mode and carries the full fire-door compliance stack. Order by finish with the optional LBM latchbolt monitor (for example 7501-630-LBM), or as the 7501C Complete One Box Solution. Every 7501 is backed by the SecuriCare 5 year no-fault warranty, extended to 10 years with the SMART Pac III power controller.
