The Fire-Lite MS-5UD-3 is a five-zone conventional fire alarm control panel (FACP) with an integrated digital alarm communicator/transmitter (DACT) designed to provide fire detection, occupant notification, and off-premises alarm reporting for small to medium-sized commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. The panel includes five programmable Style B (Class B) initiating device circuits and four Style Y (Class B) notification appliance circuits, supporting compatible smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull stations, waterflow switches, and supervisory devices. Its integrated communicator enables alarm, trouble, and supervisory signal transmission to compatible central monitoring stations, while an 80-character backlit LCD and built-in programming keypad provide local system configuration, status monitoring, and event management without requiring an external programming device.

The MS-5UD-3 operates from a 120 VAC, 60 Hz primary power source with an integrated FLPS-3 power supply delivering up to 3.0 amps of total 24 VDC system current. Its five supervised initiating device circuits support conventional two-wire and four-wire smoke detectors, including compatible System Sensor i3 Series detectors that communicate maintenance trouble and low-temperature supervisory conditions. Four programmable notification appliance circuits support connected horns, strobes, and other compatible signaling devices, with built-in synchronization for System Sensor, Wheelock, Gentex, Faraday, and Amseco notification appliances. The panel also provides three programmable Form-C relays, factory configured for alarm, trouble, and supervisory functions, with contact ratings of 2 amps at 30 VDC or 0.5 amps at 30 VAC. A real-time clock and calendar with automatic daylight saving time adjustment provide accurate event timestamps, while the integrated 256-event history log records alarm, trouble, supervisory, and system activity for troubleshooting and maintenance. The panel's ANN-BUS interface supports up to eight compatible remote annunciation and control devices, including the ANN-80 LCD remote annunciator, ANN-LED zone annunciator, ANN-RLY relay module, ANN-I/O LED driver module, and ANN-S/PG printer interface. An optional CAC-5X Class A converter module enables conversion of the initiating and notification appliance circuits to Class A operation, while the optional 4XTMF module provides reverse-polarity and municipal box transmitter functionality for compatible installations.

The MS-5UD-3 is supplied with a red steel backbox, integrated FLPS-3 power supply, operating instructions, and technical documentation for installation in commercial fire alarm systems.
