Control Panels (Conventional)
Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels
Conventional panels divide a building into zones and report which zone is in alarm, not which device. For a small store, restaurant, office suite, or apartment building, that is usually all the resolution the job needs, and a zoned system keeps both equipment cost and programming simple. It is also the natural replacement when an older zoned panel fails and the existing wiring is staying in place.
The MS-2 and MS-4 are two-zone and four-zone panels for the smallest jobs, with automatic drift compensation that adjusts detector sensitivity as dust builds up and maintenance alert indicators that flag a dirty detector before it causes a false alarm. The MS-5UD and MS-10UD step up to five and ten zones, add a programmable backlit LCD keypad, and include a built-in dual-line digital communicator, so central station monitoring needs no separate dialer. All work with two- and four-wire smoke detectors, including System Sensor i3 detectors, along with pull stations, waterflow switches, and tamper switches, and 240 VAC versions carry an E suffix. A small addressable panel priced for the same jobs is listed here as well.
