The Fire-Lite CMF-300 is an intelligent addressable control module designed to activate and supervise notification appliance circuits on compatible Fire-Lite fire alarm control panels. It supports Class A (Style Z) and Class B (Style Y) wiring, controlling external 24 VDC power for horns, strobes, and other compatible notification appliances. Operating at 15-32 VDC from the signaling line circuit, the CMF-300 features rotary-switch addressing, automatic device identification, and LED status indication. The Fire-Lite CMF-300 Addressable Control Module provides supervised notification appliance circuit (NAC) control for compatible Fire-Lite intelligent fire alarm control panels. Manufactured by Fire-Lite Alarms, a Honeywell brand, the module allows fire alarm systems to selectively activate horns, strobes, and other compatible audible and visual notification appliances according to programmed alarm zones or areas of coverage. Each CMF-300 occupies one address on the signaling line circuit (SLC) and communicates its operating status directly to the control panel. Its off-white, heat-resistant housing, integral status LED, and rotary address switches support installation in commercial offices, educational facilities, healthcare buildings, warehouses, and other occupancies requiring addressable fire alarm notification control.

The CMF-300 operates from a 15-32 VDC signaling line circuit with a maximum SLC current draw of 6.5 mA when the LED is illuminated. Average operating current is approximately 350 A in direct-poll (CLIP) mode and 375 A in group-poll (LiteSpeed) mode with the LED flashing. Two built-in rotary switches allow installers to assign a unique module address without external programming equipment. Supported address ranges include 01-159 on compatible MS-9600 Series panels and 01-99 on MS-9200UDLS and MS-9050UD panels, subject to the connected panel's specifications. The integral LED flashes green during normal panel communication and illuminates steady red when the module is activated. Built-in device-type identification and electromagnetic interference resistance support dependable addressable system operation.

For notification appliance control, the Fire-Lite CMF-300 supports one supervised Class B (Style Y) or Class A (Style Z) circuit, with maximum NAC current ratings of 3 amperes for Class B and 2 amperes for Class A wiring. The module switches power from a separately provided, regulated 24 VDC fire alarm power supply rather than supplying notification appliance power directly from the SLC. Its internal relay isolates the external power supply from the communication loop, helping prevent external supply faults from disrupting other SLC devices. The CMF-300 monitors connected wiring for normal, open-circuit, and short-circuit conditions and reports those conditions to the control panel. When activated, the relay transfers from supervision to appliance power, allowing the programmed notification circuit to operate. Compatible configurations use the manufacturer's specified end-of-line supervision components and wiring arrangements.

The CMF-300 mounts to a standard 4-inch square electrical box with a minimum depth of 2-1/8 inches and supports the optional SMB500 surface-mount electrical box. Installations involving non-power-limited circuits require the appropriate CB500 module barrier to maintain separation between power-limited and non-power-limited wiring. The manufacturer specifies an operating temperature range of 32 F to 120 F (0 C to 49 C) and relative humidity of 10-93% non-condensing. Depending on the installation configuration, the module also supports supervised speaker circuit applications subject to its published electrical ratings. Fire-Lite documentation identifies the CMF-300 as a replacement for the C304 module when configured for supervised wiring operation. The CMF-300 is intended for use with listed, compatible Fire-Lite control panels and properly rated external power supplies. Final installation must follow the manufacturer's wiring instructions, panel compatibility requirements, and applicable NFPA 72 fire alarm system standards.
