Modules
Addressable Modules
Modules are how an addressable loop reaches everything that is not a detector. They bring conventional inputs onto the loop, switch building systems when an alarm occurs, and drive notification appliances, each at its own address so the panel reports and controls them individually.
Three types cover most jobs. Relay modules such as the CRF-300 provide dry Form C contacts to shut down air handlers, close dampers, release door holders, and recall elevators. Monitor modules such as the MMF-300 supervise a Class A or Class B circuit of dry-contact devices, which is how waterflow switches, valve tamper switches, and conventional pull stations join an addressable system. Control modules such as the CMF-300 provide a supervised notification appliance circuit for horns and strobes. Multi-point versions like the CRF300-6 and MMF-300-10 put six or ten points in one chassis-mounted module where many connections land in one place, and the MMF-302-6 interfaces six zones of two-wire conventional detectors, which helps when an addressable panel replaces a zoned system. Fault isolators such as the I300 protect the loop so a short circuit takes out only a section rather than every device.
