On a large access control project, power is rarely one supply per door. It is a small number of enclosures feeding many locks, readers, and controllers, often with fire alarm interfaces and monitoring requirements. Intelligent power supplies are built for that scale, combining a high-capacity power module with plug-in output modules so one enclosure is configured to the exact mix of circuits the job needs.

The AQL line starts with a power module sized for the load, available in 4, 6, and 10 amp capacities at 12 or 24 volts, then adds modules for the outputs. The R8, for example, provides eight relayed outputs from a dual power bus, and pre-configured AQL part numbers bundle a power module with specific output and option modules so the whole assembly ships ready to install.
