Explosion Proof Waterflow Switches

The Potter VSR-FEX is a vane type waterflow switch for wet sprinkler systems located in hazardous locations, and it can also be used as a sectional waterflow detector on large systems.

It contains two SPDT snap action switches rated 15.0 amps at 125/250 VAC and an adjustable, instantly recycling pneumatic retard, and the switches actuate when a flow of 10 gallons per minute (38 Lpm) or more occurs downstream and continues past the selected retard period. Service pressure is up to 450 PSI, the cast aluminum housing with a factory installed gasket is suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and a non-corrosive sleeve is factory installed in the saddle. Sizes run from 2 inch through 8 inch pipe, including 2-1/2, 3-1/2, and 5 inch versions, and the VSR-FEX-2-1/2 lists UL, cUL, CSFM, and FM listings with a NEMA 4 and 9 solid metal enclosure.
