Explosion Proof Pressure Switches
Explosion Proof Pressure Switches
These Potter explosion-proof pressure actuated switches are for automatic fire sprinkler systems located in hazardous locations.
The PS10-EX detects a waterflow condition and can also provide a low pressure supervisory signal adjustable between 4 and 20 psi, with typical applications in wet pipe systems with alarm check valves, dry pipe, preaction, or deluge valves; its enclosure is cast aluminum. The PS40-EX supervisory switch detects an increase or decrease from normal system pressure in applications such as dry pipe systems, pre-action air/nitrogen supervision, pressure tanks, air supplies, and water supplies. It is factory set for 40 PSI normal system pressure, with its LOW switch set to operate on a decrease at 30 PSI and its HIGH switch on an increase at 50 PSI. Both have two sets of SPDT (Form C) contacts rated 15.0 amps at 125/250 VAC, a 1/2 inch NPT male brass pressure fitting, and a 1/2 inch NPT female conduit opening.
