Security System Accessories

Accessories are what close the gap between a panel's spec sheet and a finished job. They add a second arming point where the family actually enters, put the panel on a counter instead of a wall, bring an existing hardwired loop onto a new wireless system, or cover an opening that a standard door contact cannot handle.

Add-on color touchscreen keypads extend a system's interface to a second floor or a back office. The PROA7DM desk mount relocates a ProSeries panel to a flat surface, and the PROSIXC2W converter carries eight hardwired zones onto a ProSeries system so a retrofit keeps the contacts already in the walls. Specialty transmitters cover the odd openings: the 5822T tilt sensor mounts on an overhead garage door and reports the change in angle as the door swings up, which is far more reliable there than trying to hold a magnet and reed switch in alignment on a moving panel.
