Security Sensors & Detectors

A panel only knows what its sensors tell it, which makes device selection the part of a design that decides whether a system is trusted or switched off. DSC's sensors are built around a supervised 433 MHz radio and a set of hardwired devices that share the same zone programming, so a job can mix the two freely.

Wireless devices check in on a schedule and report tamper and low battery to the panel, so a dead or removed sensor shows up as a trouble rather than a silent hole in coverage. Many are designed around install speed: contacts such as the WS4945 with a pre-installed battery activated by a pull tab, circuit boards mounted on the cover so the case does not have to come apart, and long-life lithium cells. Hardwired detectors cover the applications where a wired zone is specified, including motion detectors with anti-masking such as the LC-103-PIMSK and FSA series smoke detectors listed for both residential and commercial use.
