Contacts
Door & Window Contacts
Contacts are the highest-count device on almost every job, so the minutes saved on each one decide whether a large install runs long. DSC's wireless contacts are designed around that arithmetic: the battery ships installed and is activated by pulling a tab, and the circuit board sits on the cover, so a technician mounts the contact without ever opening the case.
The WS4945 is the standard surface transmitter, with the WS4945N adding a normally open external input and a brown-cased version available for dark trim. Where an opening will not take a surface device, the EV-DW4917 hides in the door frame with only a white or brown access cap visible, in flanged or non-flanged styles for screw-mount or press-fit installation, and the cap comes off with a flat screwdriver for battery service. The WS4965 covers awkward cases by carrying three zones in one device, mounting conventionally or configuring as a normally closed tilt switch for a garage door, with two external contact inputs for wired points nearby.
