Potter Amseco VSR-2 Vane Type Waterflow Alarm Switch with Retard, 2" Pipe Size (Replaces VSR-F), SPDT Contacts

The Potter Amseco VSR-2 is a vane-type waterflow switch for use on wet sprinkler systems. It is UL Listed and FM Approved for use on steel pipe; schedules 10 through 40, size 2".

The VSR-2 may also be used as a sectional waterflow detector on large systems and contains two single pole, double throw, snap action switches and an adjustable, instantly recycling pneumatic retard. The switches are actuated when an ow of 10 GPM (38 LPM) or more occurs downstream of the device. The ow condition must exist for a period of time necessary to overcome the selected retard period.

Enclosure
A general-purpose, die-cast enclosure houses the VSR switches and the retard device. Two tamper-resistant screws that need a unique key to remove hold the cover in place. As an extra, there is a field-installable cover tamper switch that can be used to signal illegal cover removal. For this switch's installation instructions, refer to bulletin number 5401103.
