System Sensor
System Sensor Fire Detection & Notification
Since 1984, System Sensor has grown into one of the largest manufacturers of fire detection and notification equipment on the market. Headquartered in St. Charles, Illinois and part of the Honeywell Life Safety group since 2000, the company specializes in smoke detection, notification, and carbon monoxide. JMAC stocks the lines our customers rely on most - conventional i3 2-wire and 4-wire smoke detectors, 5600-series heat detectors, SpectrAlert Advance horns and strobes, plus duct, CO, combination, and beam detection. Browse the full System Sensor catalog, or use the lines below to find what fits your system.
Smoke & Heat Detectors
System Sensor's i3 Series is the core of the line: conventional photoelectric smoke detectors with plug-in installation, LED indicators, and drift compensation to reduce false alarms - built for easy install and instant inspection, with no separate auxiliary power supply, transformer, or backup battery required. They come in 2-wire and 4-wire models, as photoelectric or combination photoelectric/thermal with a fixed 135°F heat sensor, alongside low-profile detectors like the 2151T. For areas where smoke sensing isn't appropriate, System Sensor's heat detectors - including combination fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise models - share the same spot-type platform, and a full range of plug-in bases, mounting kits, and installation tools supports the line.
SpectrAlert Advance Notification
For occupant notification, SpectrAlert Advance is System Sensor's field-configurable horn and strobe platform - horns, strobes, horn/strobes, and speaker/strobes with selectable candela, so you cover a space efficiently while stocking fewer part numbers. Models span 2-wire and 4-wire, red and white, wall and ceiling mounts, and newer L-Series and LED appliances for energy-efficient signaling. Browse all horns, strobes & speaker strobes.
CO, Duct, Beam & System Monitoring
System Sensor rounds out the detection layer with carbon monoxide and combination CO/smoke detectors (the COSMO i4 line, in 2-wire and 4-wire with matching interface modules), duct smoke detectors that monitor HVAC airflow - supported by metal sampling tubes and control relays - and reflected-beam smoke detectors for large open areas, along with their remote test stations. For wet sprinkler systems, waterflow detectors and OS&Y valve-supervisory switches provide monitoring, while loop test/maintenance and synchronization modules support installation and service.
