Electromagnetic Shear Locks

SDC HiShear electromagnetic shear locks have a 2000 lb holding force and are listed in surface mount and top jamb mount, semi-concealed, and concealed mortise configurations. The Hi/Shear design uses a floating armature assembly and special alloy steel locking tabs on the lock and armature assemblies that adjust vertically and laterally to compensate for wide door gaps and warped or misaligned doors.

The 1562SCHDB pairs a 1562 lock with a 1/2 inch Herculite bracket in a 628 finish. The 1561TJV is a top jamb mount lock in aluminum that is surface mounted to the pull side of an in-swing door, the 1561TJVDB adds a door position sensor and bond sensor, and the 1561SVD is a surface mount lock with a door position sensor. Hi/Shear locks are for use on commercial grade hollow metal and wood doors and frames and Herculite doors with top rails, with an automatic voltage sensing input of 650/350mA at 12/24VDC, field adjustable shear stops, and UL, CSFM, and MEA listings.
