Automatic Air Vents

Reducing the air trapped in a pressurized fire sprinkler system helps protect the piping from corrosion that is often found at the air/water interface. Removing air also helps vane type waterflow detectors, whose operation can be delayed or prevented if too much air is trapped in the system piping.

The PAAR-B is an automatic float type air vent that vents air automatically as the system is being filled, and it can also vent trapped air as it migrates to the vent location over time. The PAV is also listed as a Potter air vent.
