Corrosion Monitoring Stations
The Potter PCMS-RM riser mount corrosion monitoring station is a coupon rack installed on a fire sprinkler riser to monitor corrosion in the sprinkler system, and it is designed to simulate conditions within the system.
The coupon rack can be isolated from the riser and accessed for servicing and monitoring of the corrosion coupons without interruption to fire protection, and the PCMS-RM can be used on wet or dry pipe systems. The optional PCMPK-1 corrosion monitoring probe kit adds a probe and pressure switch. The probe has a precision thin wall that will eventually corrode through, letting system water or air pressure actuate the pressure switch; when the switch is wired to the building fire alarm panel, it generates a supervisory or trouble signal as notice to remove the test coupons for analysis. The probes are single use devices.
