These Potter test kits help evaluate sprinkler water supplies and piping for microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) and other corrosion problems.

The WTK water test kit is designed to conform to NFPA 13 requirements for the building owner to provide an Owners Certificate on the water supply and for the water supply to be evaluated for MIC or other corrosive properties. The lab cultures five groups of bacteria from the sample, including sulfate reducing and acid producing bacterium, and also performs dissolved iron testing. The 1119174 sludge kit is designed to conform to NFPA 25 requirements for MIC testing when slime or tubercles are discovered in an internal inspection, with samples sent to Potter for analysis. The BAC-PAK allows field testing of wet pipe sprinkler systems and water supplies for MIC-causing bacterium, with results appearing over a period of up to 9 days.
