Optex Intrusion Detectors

This branch holds the detectors that report to an alarm panel. Indoors that means ceiling and wall mounted passive infrared and dual technology sensors; outdoors it means weatherproof detectors with anti-masking and photoelectric beams that cover a line across a boundary.

The dividing question is false alarms. An indoor detector has a stable environment to work in, while an outdoor detector faces rain, wind, moving branches and animals, which is why the outdoor range uses dual technology, quad beams with multiple frequencies and double modulation, and anti-masking.
