Mounting position sets the choice. Ceiling mount detectors give 360 degree coverage of the space below, one with a zoom function and a dense triple-element pattern for any ceiling height, another with a durable spherical lens, and a directional version with pet tolerance.

Wall mount detectors look along a room instead. Long range models use patented Multi-Focus technology for commercial and industrial spaces, Quad Zone Logic gives tolerance to spot temperature changes from curtains and small animals, and dual technology units combine microwave and PIR so both have to agree before an alarm is raised.
