Door Access Control Panels

Panels are sized by reader count. The CA150 is a single door unit with PoE and a 32000 user capacity at 12 V DC, the CA250 is a 2-reader unit, the CA4500 is a 4-reader unit and the CA8500 is an 8-reader, 8-door unit supporting up to 45,000 credentials per site, supplied with the CA8500B controller board, 2 OCB8 relay boards, a DPS-15 power supply and a locking metal enclosure with a tamper switch. That controller carries 8 reader ports, 16 supervised auxiliary inputs and a 6,000-transaction buffer. Board only and no enclosure versions such as the CA8500NB, with 64 holidays and 256 time zones, suit retrofits into existing cabinets.

Panel accessories include the OCB8 Form-C relay output board, which adds doors and elevator floor stops and can drive sirens, alarms and strobes, with a DIP switch bank for relay settings, the DPS-15 dual linear power supply board at 12 V DC and 16 V AC, and the CIM communications interlink module, a CAN Bus module that builds an ACU to ACU network for anti-passback, global input and output and global time zones. Elevator Floor Control

The EC1500 is a single reader elevator floor control unit supplied with the EC1500B board, an OCB8 relay board, a DPS-15 power supply and a black metal enclosure with a lock and tamper switch, and the EC2500 is the 2-cab unit, which regulates up to 16 stories per elevator cab. Readers and Keypads

Proximity readers run at 125 kHz, led by the K-PROX3 with mullion, single gang and electrical box mounting at 12 volts and 80 milliamperes, with Present3 support, facility lockdown and status LEDs. The K-PROX2 covers mullion and single gang openings and reads HID proximity cards and tags over a range of Wiegand protocols, the K-KPR adds a keypad and an onboard beeper, the K-VAN is the vandal resistant model and the WSSKP-1 stainless steel keypad connects to any Keyscan controller as an alternative to a card reader.

Smart card readers work at 13.56 MHz. The K-SMART uses AES multi-layer encryption, and the K-SMART3 is the mobile-ready BLE model, compatible with K-SECURE credentials, DESFire EV2 and ISO 14443 non-proprietary smart cards. iCLASS readers such as the KR10L add data encryption and mutual authentication between card and reader with legacy support, and the catalog also lists KS-2 HID Signo wall and mullion mount readers and dormakaba SRK surface mount readers with BLE. For gates and parking, the K-TX2 is a 4-button RF transmitter with a 125 kHz proximity coil and an adjustable range from 1 to 150 feet, paired with the K-RX 4 channel receiver. See readers.

Cards, Fobs and Mobile Credentials

Smart card credentials include the K-SECURE 1K, a 13.56 MHz ISO 14443 card with Keyscan 36-bit formatting and 1K memory in 50-card packs with AES multilayer encryption and anti-counterfeiting features, the K-SF-1K smart fob and iCLASS cards such as the KI2K2SR, which carries backward-compatible iCLASS SR legacy support for sites moving to iCLASS SE. Proximity credentials include CS125-36 clamshell cards at 125 kHz in 36-bit, HID-C1325-50 card packs, the PROXKEYIII fob and the PSM-2P-H printable graphics card for CR80 dye-sublimation printers. Software, Licenses and Firmware

System VII is the management software suite, with add-on modules for web access, badging, CCTV, visitor management, intrusion panel integration and additional user licences. Networking Boards and Peripherals

Network communication runs through the NETCOM6P TCP/IP board adapter, which plugs into a CIM module or a panel and uses AES Rijndael encryption, and the off-board NETCOM2 module for existing LAN and WAN networks. Bench and field tools include the USB-SER serial to USB converter, legacy RS-485 communication boards and modems, and a Wiegand communications line extender for long reader runs.
