What does "exit now" message mean when I arm my security system in "stay mode"?

Last Updated: 11/06/2013
The "exit now" message is displayed in stay mode to allow users to leave the property without triggering an alarm.

The "exit now" message is displayed in every arming mode you use.  In stay mode, your security system activates everything but the motion detectors, which allows your family to roam around the property freely without setting off an alarm.  Should a family member have to leave the property at some point during the day/night, they can do so without disarming the alarm system, and risking the safety of the other family members still in the house.

When arming in away mode, you can hear an exit countdown, which gives you time to get out of the house before the system arms.  In stay mode, this same countdown applies, only it is silent.  This prevents the other members of the household from being disturbed.
