How many wireless transmitters will work with the Vista 20P?

Last Updated: 11/07/2013
Once outfitted with the proper wireless receiver, both the Vista 20P and the Vista 21iP can support a maximum of 40 wireless transmitters.

Each wireless receiver differs, however, in the number of transmitters it can support. The 5881ENH receiver supports the full 40, while the 5881ENL only allows 8 wireless transmitters to be added.

Honeywell also offers keypads with built-in wireless receivers that can expand the number of transmitters your system supports. For instance, the 6160RF Keypad/Receiver includes an internal 5881ENH which supports 40 wireless transmitters.

Honeywell gives you plenty of receiver choices to support the number of transmitters you need, whether they be smoke detectors, motion sensors, door & window sensors, etc. It's also important to take your system's future needs into consideration. Should you decide to add more transmitters a few years down the road, make sure your wireless receiver gives you enough leeway to support that zone expansion.

Some transmitters require the use of multiple zones in order to operate properly. Be sure to consult your transmitter's installation manual for this information. Also, if you plan on using remote controls on your system, each key on the remote is programmed to use one zone in your system. That means you have one less zone to work with going forward.
