What revision chip do I need to make Vista 20P compatible with Total Connect 2.0?

Last Updated: 11/06/2013
The Vista 20P requires a chip revision of 9.12 or newer in order to work with Honeywell's Total Connect 2.0.

(For more on how to find your chip's revision, click here.)  However, there is a second condition that must be met to achieve Total Connect 2.0 compatibility.  Your control panel must have an internet communicator or a cellular communicator installed that works with Total Connect 2.0.  To find this out, check for a "TC" sticker on the outside of your communicator box.

Without either of these communicators or the newer chip revisions, your Vista control panel will only be compatible with Total Connect 1.0.

If you have an older revision Vista 20P or 15P panel, it is possible to upgrade your chip by purchasing an internet/cellular communicator with an an upgrade chip kit, like the GSMV-TC2.

Total Connect 2.0 is...

a responsive alarm service available with certain Honeywell LYNX and Vista Series Control Panels.
