Honeywell Security systems are armed by typing your 4 digit master/user code into your control panel keypad.
Press either the "Stay" or "Away" key to set your arming mode. If you select "Away", the entire system will be activated and an audible countdown will begin, giving the user time to leave the property before the alarm is set. The "Stay" mode has a silent countdown which is initiated upon selection, but doesn't require anyone to leave the property. This mode activates everything but the system motion detectors, allowing users to roam freely throughout the property. One-touch arming can be programmed into certain keypads.
