Lighting & Appliance Control

Z-Wave Plus devices give a security panel control over lighting and small appliances, so the same system that arms the building can turn lights on at sunset, switch a lamp when an alarm trips, or let a user check from a phone that nothing was left running. Because Z-Wave is a mesh protocol, each powered device also repeats signals for the others, which extends range as more are added.

The hardware comes in a few familiar forms. In-wall paddle switches and dimmers replace a standard wall switch and handle hardwired lighting loads, with accessory switches available for three-way circuits where two switches control one fixture. In-wall duplex outlets and plug-in modules control anything that plugs in, and plug-in versions install without touching wiring at all. Confirm the panel has a Z-Wave radio or module before specifying, since not every control panel includes one.

See the panels that host these devices under security systems and intrusion panels, or the rest of the add-ons under accessories. Browse the full Honeywell Ademco / Resideo catalog. Contact our team to confirm Z-Wave support on your panel.
