Plenty of buildings run contactless doors and swipe everything else: vending, printing, time clocks, car park barriers and canteen tills. A card with both saves issuing two badges to the same person.

These are OmniClass smart credentials with a magnetic stripe added, built on 13.56MHz technology and designed to work with the OmniClass readers, listed in 26 bit and 34 bit formats.

Cards without the stripe are in smart credentials, and versions that also carry proximity are in smart plus prox with magnetic stripe.
