Honeywell Access Control Readers

The reader is the only part of an access system most people ever touch, and it is chosen by three things: the credential already in circulation, the mounting position, and whether a code or a biometric is needed as well as a card.

Proximity readers are the largest group. The OmniProx family is a complete line of 125 kHz HID compatible readers, listed from mini-mullion units for a narrow frame to switch plate and wall mount versions, with and without the Honeywell logo, and a vandal resistant model in a zinc die-cast single gang box. Indala FlexPass readers are listed alongside them in arch, wave, linear and metal mount styles.

OmniClass readers are the 13.56 MHz contactless smart card side, including multi technology models that read both smart and proximity credentials during a migration. Keypads provide access control where no card is used or as a second factor with one, and HandKey biometric readers verify hand geometry where a credential alone is not enough.
