Overview

The HES KS210 Series electric strike is an integrated server cabinet lock designed to secure data center cabinets and racks with advanced electronic access control. Each KS210 unit provides real-time monitoring of the locked state and can be tied into building security systems via RS-485 OSDP communication. Engineered for high security, this series delivers a 350 lbs static holding force to resist forced entry attempts while maintaining seamless compatibility with standard swing-handle cabinet doors (150 × 25 mm prep).

Integrated Access Control & Monitoring

The KS210 is manufactured with a multi-technology card reader compatible with 125 kHz proximity cards and 13.56 MHz smart credentials such as HID Prox, iCLASS SE/Seos, MIFARE DESFire, and even NFC/Bluetooth mobile access. In doing this, the administrator can directly apply access control policies as close to the cabinet level. The lock is standard with locked state monitoring and includes an input for an optional door position sensor (DPS) to guarantee each cabinet door is secure and closed. The secure OSDP protocol used by the KS210 supports bi-directional communication, tamper signals, and remote management capabilities for each cabinet door.

Installation and Build

The KS210 Series is designed for easy installation, fitting into most cam-actuated server cabinet handles with no modifications. Its non-handed, cam-activated design works on both left or right-side cabinet doors without adjustment. Dual-voltage (12/24 VDC) hardwired power input provides flexibility in various setups, and the unit uses standard ElectroLynx plug-and-play connectors for quick, error-free wiring. A mechanical key override using a 6- or 7-pin Small Format Interchangeable Core is built in for emergency access; it is compatible with Medeco X4 and even Medeco XT electronic smart keys. The lock’s enclosure features a durable modern black finish to match common cabinet hardware and a robust internal mechanism tested to 250,000 cycles for longevity.
