Server Cabinet Locks

In data centers and network closets, security increasingly stops at the rack rather than the room door. Compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS require that physical access to systems handling regulated data be restricted and logged, and in a shared room or colocation facility the practical way to meet that is to lock and monitor each server cabinet on its own.

HES server cabinet locks bring card access to the rack itself, so the same credentials and access control system that manage the building's doors can grant, deny, and record access to individual cabinets. The KS200 family provides that control for server racks, and the KS210 adds OSDP, the Open Supervised Device Protocol, for encrypted and supervised communication between reader and panel, a meaningful step up from the one-way Wiegand interface many readers still use. Door position sensors complete the installation by confirming the cabinet door is actually closed, so the system can alert on a rack left open instead of only logging who unlocked it. Match the lock to the rack manufacturer's handle cutout and confirm the access control panel supports the reader interface before ordering.
