Sensor Accessories

Two jobs fall outside the usual detector list, and both matter more than their price suggests. The first is proving that a four-wire smoke detector loop still has power. The second is catching an attack on a door, safe, or wall before anyone actually gets through it.

End-of-line power supervisory relays sit at the far end of a four-wire smoke circuit so that a loss of power on that run reports as a trouble at the panel instead of quietly disabling the detectors. The RM-2 does this on DSC FSA-410 series loops and keeps operating correctly when a polarity reversal module flips the line to sound every detector sounder, which is exactly the moment supervision must not drop out. Seismic shock sensors take the other approach: the SS-102 analyzes vibration to distinguish an attempted break-in from ordinary building noise, with a bi-colored LED that separates minor from major attacks, full anti-tamper protection, and a moisture-resistant electronics module, which suits residential, commercial, government, and financial installations.
