The Potter Addressable Device (PAD) protocol is used by fire alarm control panels that are compatible with the specified Analog Addressable smoke sensor and rate of rise and/or fixed temperature heat sensor. A low profile smoke/heat sensor with a broad sensitivity range is the PAD200-PHD. For precise and trustworthy heat detection, the heat sensing component makes use of a tested thermistor. To blend in with the ceiling, the sensor and base (which are not included) are constructed of sturdy plastic in an off-white tint.
