The Keyscan CA150 is a single-door networked access control panel with integrated IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), designed for commercial and institutional security systems. It supports two reader ports for entry and exit, four supervised inputs, and two programmable output relays. The controller accommodates up to 45,000 credentials per site and a 6,000-event transaction buffer, with TCP/IP networking, DHCP, dual processors, and flash memory. Powered by PoE or an external 12 VDC supply, the CA150 provides up to 680 mA of shared peripheral power through PoE for compatible readers, electric locks, and auxiliary devices.

Keyscan CA150 Single-Door PoE Networked Access Control Panel with Two Reader Ports

The Keyscan CA150 Single-Door Access Control Unit provides centralized electronic access management for commercial and institutional entrances using the Keyscan Aurora access control platform. Manufactured by dormakaba under the Keyscan brand, the controller includes a CA150B control board, integrated TCP/IP communication module, and black metal enclosure with a lock and tamper switch. Its single-door architecture supports two reader connections for entry and exit authentication, allowing facilities to manage both directions of travel through one controlled opening. The CA150 can operate as a dedicated controller for an individual entrance or as an additional networked door within a compatible Keyscan installation. Typical applications include offices, schools, healthcare facilities, warehouses, secured equipment rooms, and remote building entrances requiring individually managed electronic access.

The CA150 supports up to 45,000 credentials per site, a 6,000-event transaction buffer, 512 time schedules, and 511 access groups, with expanded credential capacity available through designated special-order configurations. Its dual-processor architecture and flash memory support local access control processing and storage of transaction records during temporary interruptions in network communication. The controller includes four supervised inputs, consisting of one request-to-exit input, one door contact input, and two programmable auxiliary alarm inputs. Two configurable output relays provide one door lock control output and one auxiliary output for compatible security devices. Reader connections support configurable Wiegand credential formats, allowing integration with supported Keyscan and third-party readers. Onboard diagnostic LEDs assist with power, communication, and controller status monitoring.

The Keyscan CA150 incorporates an IEEE 802.3af Class 0 PoE-enabled Ethernet interface, allowing network data and operating power to be supplied through a single compatible Ethernet cable. The controller can alternatively operate from an approved 12 VDC external power supply. Under PoE operation, the manufacturer specifies a 15.4-watt PoE allocation with up to 680 mA at 12 VDC available across connected peripheral devices, including supported readers, electric strikes, request-to-exit sensors, and auxiliary equipment. Individual powered outputs are protected by resettable fuses, with the reader and relay circuits subject to their specified current limits. Built-in TCP/IP networking, DHCP support, and optional reverse network communication provide connectivity for centralized access management across supported local and remote network configurations. An RS-232 interface is also available for supported communication and configuration procedures.

The CA150 is housed in a black powder-coated, 22-gauge steel enclosure measuring approximately 6.875 inches wide, 7.625 inches high, and 1.75 inches deep. The cabinet incorporates a lockable cover and tamper switch to protect the controller and field wiring from unauthorized access. Designed for indoor installation at 32 F to 120 F (0 C to 49 C), the controller supports up to 90% non-condensing relative humidity. Its integrated PoE interface simplifies installation at locations where dedicated electrical power is unavailable, while the two reader ports and supervised inputs support door monitoring and bidirectional credential authentication. The CA150 is compatible with supported Keyscan Aurora software installations, with compatibility dependent on controller hardware revision and firmware. The unit is supplied as an access control panel rather than a complete door hardware kit; readers, electric locks, credentials, and other connected devices are selected separately. Installation should follow dormakaba's power budgeting, network configuration, wiring, grounding, and emergency egress requirements.
