Isonas RC04-PRX-M Door Access Reader/Controller, Mullion, 125KHz Credentials

The ISONAS RC-04-PRX-M is a mullion-mount Pure IP reader-controller with 125 kHz proximity and Bluetooth Low Energy credential support. It combines credential reading, door control, and TCP/IP communication in 1 device, stores up to 64,000 credentials and 5,000 events locally, and operates from IEEE 802.3af PoE or 12 VDC without requiring a traditional access control panel.

ISONAS RC-04-PRX-M Pure IP Mullion Reader-Controller

The ISONAS RC-04-PRX-M is a compact Pure IP access control reader-controller designed for mullion-mounted single-door applications using 125 kHz proximity credentials. It combines the reader, access controller, and Ethernet interface at the door, eliminating the need for a traditional centralized control panel. Bluetooth Low Energy support also allows compatible mobile credentials to be used through supported ISONAS software environments.

The RC-04-PRX-M provides local storage for up to 64,000 credentials, 5,000 events, and 32 time schedules. Local decision-making allows the controller to continue processing authorized access while communication with the host system is unavailable. The unit provides 1 door-sense input and 1 configurable request-to-exit or auxiliary input, along with conditioned lock power supporting both fail-safe and fail-secure locking hardware.

The reader-controller connects through 10 Mbps TCP/IP Ethernet and supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet or 12 VDC input. When powered by PoE, the RC-04 can provide up to 600 mA at 12 VDC for connected locking hardware. Network functions include DHCP addressing, host and client operating modes, half- or full-duplex Ethernet communication, and field-updatable firmware for ongoing system configuration and maintenance.

The ISONAS RC-04-PRX-M measures 5.10 x 1.70 x 0.71 inches and carries an IP56 environmental rating. The conformal-coated electronics operate from -40 F to 135 F (-40 C to 57 C), while an accelerometer provides tamper detection and a metal backplate reinforces the mounting assembly. The RC-04 platform is UL 294 and FCC certified and integrates with supported platforms including Pure Access, Open Options, and Genetec for network-based commercial access control applications.
